Private Pay
Private-pay services are available for clients who prefer not to use insurance or whose insurance plan is not currently accepted by Haven of Hope Counseling.
Choosing private pay may also provide greater privacy and flexibility because treatment is not dependent upon insurance authorization or coverage requirements.
Insurance
Haven of Hope Counseling participates with select insurance plans.
Because insurance benefits vary by individual plan, clients are encouraged to contact their insurance provider to verify behavioral health benefits, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and other out-of-pocket costs before beginning services.
Please contact Haven of Hope Counseling to determine whether your specific insurance plan is currently accepted.
“Participation with an insurance company does not guarantee coverage for a particular service. Benefits and eligibility are determined by your individual insurance plan.”
Ask About InsuranceSliding Scale / Reduced-Fee Options
Financial circumstances should not prevent you from asking about counseling.
A limited number of sliding-scale/reduced-fee appointments may be available based on financial need and current availability. If the standard session fee presents a financial barrier, please feel welcome to ask whether a reduced-fee opening is currently available.
Sliding-scale availability is limited and cannot be guaranteed.
Ask About Reduced-Fee AvailabilityHSA & FSA
HSA and FSA funds may be eligible for use toward counseling services. Clients are encouraged to verify eligibility with their individual plan administrator.
Good Faith Estimate
Your Right to Understand the Cost of Your Care
Under the No Surprises Act, individuals who do not have insurance or who choose not to use their insurance for services generally have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of their care.
If you are paying privately for counseling services at Haven of Hope Counseling, you may request a Good Faith Estimate explaining the anticipated charges associated with your care.
Your Good Faith Estimate will be based on the information available at the time it is prepared. Because counseling is individualized, the frequency and duration of services may change depending on your needs, goals, and treatment recommendations. A Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not require you to receive a specific number of counseling sessions.
Haven of Hope Counseling is committed to transparency regarding the cost of services. You are welcome to ask questions about fees or the anticipated cost of counseling at any time.
If the actual billed charges are substantially higher than the amount listed on your Good Faith Estimate, you may have rights under federal law to dispute the charges.
